Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences - Molecular Genetics

Molecular genetics is one of the specialties within Rochester?s biological sciences degree offerings. Combining molecular biology and genetics, our students study the structure and function of genes at a molecular level. The University of Rochester?s Department of Biology has long been recognized as a leader in genetics research. While our faculty and students are united by a common interest in genetics, we address questions spanning a wide range of topics in molecular, cell, developmental, computational, and evolutionary biology Our faculty, students, and graduates are inquisitive, resourceful problem solvers who go on to contribute to the scientific and medical communities, as well as to areas such as law, business, and technology.
