Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management - Human Resource Management

The human resource management (HRM) concentration is designed to help students broaden and deepen their understanding of the acquisition, development, management and retention of human capital in organizations. This focus area is suggested for students who intend to work in human resource (HR) generalist or specialist positions, students planning on a career in labor relations or employment law, students who plan to start or manage a business, and students who want to attend graduate school in an HR-related field. MGT 365 is considered the first course in this concentration.

The major in business management offers three concentrations that will prepare you for a career in a wide range of industries, from governmental organizations, manufacturing, retail and banking, to pharmaceutical products, consumer products, restaurants and insurance.

You will develop skills in leadership, critical thinking and analytical decision making as you apply key managerial concepts and theories learned in the classroom to practical experiences.
