The Master of Science program in Management Science and Engineering (MS&E), offered by the IEOR Department in partnership with Columbia Business School, is the first such program between Columbia University's Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science and Columbia Business School. It reflects the next logical step in the longstanding close collaboration between the IEOR Department at the Engineering School and the Decision, Risk and Operations (DRO) Division at the Business School. This program was formed and structured following many interactions with corporations, alumni and students. It emphasizes both management and engineering perspectives in solving problems, making decisions, and managing risks in complex systems. Students pursuing this degree program are provided with a rigorous exposure to optimization and stochastic modeling, and a deep coverage of applications in the areas of operations engineering and management.

Three (3) letters of recommendation
Official Graduate Record Examination (GRE) General Test scores, sent from ETS. Scores are valid for five (5) years. Institution code is (2111), there is no Department code.
Personal statement
Resume or curriculum vitae
Translation of the official transcript(s) is required if the institution(s) you attended does not issue transcripts in English. The transcript translation must be conducted by a reputable service and must be sent in addition to the official transcripts. Personal transcript translations will not be accepted. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS). Official scores from ETS are required of all students who have not received an undergraduate or graduate degree in a country in which English is the official and spoken language.
