The Tuchman MBA is a program focused on meeting the challenges of an increasingly complex and technologically driven business environment. The NJIT Martin Tuchman School of Management MBA curriculum is designed to educate a new generation of technology savvy business leaders with the skills to respond to the rapid, often unpredictable, technological, social, and economic changes that are affecting industries, companies, and employees. Rapid advances in science and technology are fundamentally changing the nature of business, For this reason, we believe that every company must have a strategy for managing its technologies and for aligning that strategy with its business strategies. All of our MBA students are exposed to critical trends that are transforming business, and we believe that it is essential to prepare our graduates to address the issues that are shaping the future of business. There is a misperception among some people that an MBA is only for a certain type of person, looking for a certain type of job. The reality is that earning an MBA appeals to a wide array of candidates?running the spectrum between the analytical and the creative, the extroverted and the introverted, and those with business and nonbusiness backgrounds. The Innovation and Entrepreneurship concentration of the MBA program is designed to help students identify business opportunities, transform innovation into sustainable business models, and to create new businesses. The coursework and the experiential learning covers new venture management, new product development, customer development, and the financial, legal and strategic issues of both entrepreneurship (new ventures within existing enterprises). Students work with companies in the Enterprise Development Center, NJIT's technology business incubator. The skills needed to commercialize new technologies will be valuable for students whether they want to work for a large organization or startup their own company.
