Mathematics, statistics, and computer science are the subjects making up the “Mathematical Sciences.” The joint major in Mathematics & Computer Science allows students to explore all of these related disciplines and is appropriate for Mathematics majors with an interest in applications in computer science and Computer Science majors wishing to have more breadth in foundations and applications. Mathematics & Computer Science majors should have advisors in both the Mathematics & Statistics Department and the Computer Science Department.

Entry requirements for 波士頓大學
Students who are applying during their last year of secondary school should clearly state the name of the certificate they expect to receive and when. They should send an official school transcript with the application and send the original or certified copies of the credentials listed below when available. Admissions may request additional credentials as needed.
TOEFL- Students who are most competitive for admission will have a composite score of at least 90-100 and minimum scores of 20 in each section.
A total/overall score of 7 or higher on IELTS will also satisfy BU’s English Language proficiency requirement for all programs.
