Entry requirements for 蒙大拿州立大學

The PhD in Mathematics - Mathematics Education Specialization is designed for candidates with research interests focused on the teaching and learning of school mathematics. This includes mathematics curriculum, instruction, assessment, teacher preparation, and professional development in the K-12 education system. Graduates of this program generally seek employment in a university Mathematics Department.
A masters degree in mathematics, statistics, or mathematics education
Certification to teach secondary mathematics OR the ability to earn the equivalent provisional licensure
One of the following:
Two years K-12 teaching experience
Two years college teaching experience
A Written Personal Statement Is Required
Official entrance examination, GRE is optional.
A minimum TOEFL score of 80 (minimum of 93 to qualify to Graduate Teaching Assistantship)
A minimum IELTS score of 7
An undergraduate GPA of at least 3.00 (on a 4.00 scale). Applicants with post-baccalaureate coursework must have a graduate GPA of at least 3.00.
