Entry requirements for 康乃狄克大學

A sound undergraduate program in mathematics is required for entrance into any of our programs. All applicants are strongly urged to take the GRE General Test, and all Ph.D. applicants are strongly urged to take the GRE Subject Test. (The GRE code is 3915.) Failure to submit GRE scores will put the applicant at a disadvantage in the admissions process, and at a severe disadvantage in the decision process for a teaching assistantship.

Three recommendation letters are required.

All international students must submit a TOEFL or IELTS score. Further information for international graduate students is available below.

If a student was awarded funding in one program and transfers to another program, the funding may be terminated.
To be considered for admission by the Graduate School, an international student who has not graduated from an English speaking university must take the TOEFL iBT and achieve a score of at least 79 or take the IELTS and achieve a score of at least 6.5.
TOEFL- 550 ( Old Paper-based test – PBT)
Your transcripts must show that you have met the following criteria:

A cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 for your entire undergraduate career or
A grade-point average of at least 3.0 for your last two undergraduate years or
Exceptional work in your entire final undergraduate year (3.5 or better)
Graduate work with a minimum grade-point average of 3.0 or better even if the undergraduate grade-point average meets the above criteria.
