The Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in Nursing prepares practitioners for professional nursing, helps them understand their role in society and prepares them for graduate study. The program emphasizes professional knowledge, skills and compassionate nursing practices. Students begin with courses that demonstrate the core foundations of the nursing profession and its historical roots. The capstone preceptorship exposes students to research and professional-practice concepts that will ensure their abilities to be nurse leaders and healthcare advocates.
Throughout the curriculum, students study life-span and cultural diversity issues while applying evidence-based practice to their profession.
Program Learning Outcomes
Graduates of this program will be able to:
Meet educational eligibility requirements to take the registered nurse licensing examination (National Certification and Licensure Exam).
Acquire competencies based on professional standards to assume the role of the professional nurse and for career advancement, including graduate studies.
Apply the nursing process in providing evidence-based, culturally sensitive care to promote health and adaptation of individuals, families, groups and communities.

Entry requirements for 肯特州立大學
New freshmen applicants must finish secondary school in their home country by the time of enrollment to be eligible for university (comparable to the completion of senior high school in the U.S.).
Secondary School Transcripts/detailed mark sheets (Certified English translation and original language)
TOEFL iBT - 71, IELTS - 6.0, TOEFL PBT- 525 pBT(discontinued as of July 2017), 18 average of Revise PBT
Admission to nursing requires the completion of high school math, biology, and chemistry. In addition, admission to nursing from high school is based on a sliding scale. Applicants should meet the following criteria:
at least a 2.7 cumulative high school grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) AND minimum ACT composite of 22 or SAT total of 1100,
a 3.0 high school grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) AND minimum ACT composite of 21 or SAT total of 1060,
or a 3.3 cumulative high school grade point average AND minimum ACT composite of 20 or SAT total of 1030.
English language requirements
