This unique degree is for those who love being creative, writing and the performing arts, but also want to discover how the media shape our identities and our world. In this unique composite major, you’ll study courses in both media studies and expressive arts. You’ll blend theory with creative practice. Expressive arts is unique in New Zealand and was created in response to student demand. You’ll get to study a combination of the three creative discipline areas of theatre, creative writing, or digital media production. In the media studies part of your study you will learn about the production, consumption and content of media and their social, cultural, political and economic implications.

Entry requirements for 梅西大學
For most undergraduate level programmes, the minimum academic entry requirement is successful completion of a qualification equivalent to the New Zealand Year 13 - NCEA Level 3 University Entrance. International students who have completed 3 x B at level 5 or 6 passes in the New Zealand Diploma of Business may apply for entry into a Bachelor's programme. An NZQA transcript as formal evidence of the NZDipBus results is required before credit will be assessed and only papers with a minimum grade of B will be assessed for credit. High School graduation certificate, Evidence of English Language proficiency, applicants educated outside of New Zealand are required to provide translated copies of their documentation, and may be asked to obtain a report from the Educational Credentials Evaluators to determine equivalency of their academic records. IELTS - 6.0, TOEFL iBT-80, TOEFL PBT-550, PTE-50
