The Advertising program believes that students deserve an education that prepares them to work in the exciting world of an advertising agency or in-house client agency. Our faculty is dedicated to providing our students with real-world, project-based instruction. The courses offered in the Advertising program are taught by a team of instructors who not only have the academic credentials to lead our students through the degree process, they also have the professional background to set our students up for success in the ?real world? of advertising. As one of the fastest-growing industries in the country, Advertising degrees are becoming more valuable each day. We at Texas State know that it?s not just the degree, it?s the skills that accompany the degree that matter. Our professional instructors have ties to the industry who they call upon on a daily basis. These ties allow our faculty to expose students to the latest in research, media, strategy and creativity. Students are also expected to present their ideas to these industry leaders. The experience of presenting in an actual agency to industry professionals is invaluable in developing the skills, confidence and knowledge needed to succeed in this highly competitive industry.

Entry requirements for 德州州立大學
An International Baccalaureate grade of 4 or higher in English A1 or A2 at the Higher Level or Standard Level or English B at the Higher Level is required for regular admission (predicted or actual).Graduation from a U.S. high school and completion three (3) full years of regular English (non-ESL) course work with a grade point average of 2.5 in those courses. Students who have attended at least two (2) years of high school in the U.S. (at the time of application) are also expected to submit an ACT or SAT. Successful completion of at least three consecutive years of high (secondary) school, including three years of regular English with a grade of B or better.
Applicants must submit original academic records (or copies which have been certified by an appropriate school official) of all secondary and post-secondary course work, examination results, SAT or ACT test scores (directly from the testing center), certificates awarded, and/or diplomas.
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) minimum score of 550 (paper-based test) or 213 (computer-based test), or 78 total score (internet-based test) with the following 3 out of 4 minimum section scores: 19 in Reading, 19 in Listening, 19 in Speaking and 18 in Writing, or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) minimum score of 6.5 with a 6.0 in each section.
A certified English translation must accompany the original academic records if the originals are not in English, Freshman applicants who are, or will be, graduates of foreign secondary schools must demonstrate above average academic achievement.
