Study with Mannes Orchestra director David Hayes, and work with luminaries like David Fulmer and Alan Pierson, conductors of the Mannes American Composers Ensemble (MACE). Participate in master classes with renowned conductors and explore topics central to the role of the music director, including management, entrepreneurship, public relations, and more.

Draw inspiration from Mannes alumni who came before you, like Semyon Bychkov, Myung-Whun Chung, and JoAnn Falletta, music director of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra.

With New York City as your classroom, you'll jump-start your career from the moment you set foot on campus. Find practical, hands-on opportunities to apprentice with and even conduct various ensembles, including the Mannes Orchestra, MACE, and the Mannes Opera. Apprentice under JoAnn Falletta, spending four two-week sessions in Buffalo as the cover conductor for the Philharmonic.
