Transcripts should be sent directly from each college or university attended. An overall undergraduate grade point average of 2.75 and 3.00 on all graduate work is required of degree-seeking students. Individual programs may have higher requirements. Official GRE scores - These scores should be sent directly from Educational Testing Service (ETS). Official TOEFL or IELTS scores - All applicants whose native language is not English are required to submit one of these scores directly from the testing service. The minimum acceptable TOEFL score is 550 (paper-based) 213 (computer-based) or 79 (internet-based). The minimum IELTS score is 6.5. Submitted scores must be no more than two years old. NOTE: Many graduate programs at the University of Kentucky require the completion of secondary (program-specific) application forms and/or the submission of additional supporting documents such as letters of recommendation. Students seeking admission to the Graduate School must have obtained a baccalaureate degree, prior to the start of the term for which s/he is admitted, from a fully accredited U.S. institution of higher learning or from a recognized foreign institution.
