Entry requirements for 明尼蘇達大學

Unofficial transcripts or academic records must be uploaded directly to the ApplyYourself online application BEFORE you submit the application.
The preferred undergraduate GPA for admittance to the program is 3.40.
All documents must be submitted electronically. No documents should be mailed to the department or the Graduate Admissions Office.

Applicants to the doctoral program must submit a writing sample with their online application. The writing sample should consist of a minimum of one, to a maximum of three, class papers or publications.
Letters of Recommendation. Prior to applying to our program, obtain email addresses for those writing letters of recommendations. You will need to list at least three email addresses on your online line Graduate application.
Your personal statement should include:

Professional and academic background, skills and accomplishments.

If you are an international student, please provide the rank of your undergraduate University compared with other engineering universities in your home country.
PhD applicants should include a paragraph on the professor(s) you are interested in conducting research with and your reasons as to why you would like to work with them.
Curriculum Vitae which includes educational and academic background, teaching and research experience, publications, awards, presentations, honors, activities, and additional details.

Writing Sample (PhD applicants only). If you have no publications, submit a paper you have written for a class.
International applicants must submit score(s) from one of the following tests:

Paper Based - Total Score: 550
