The Accounting major provides students with the theories and procedures necessary to prepare them for the many facets of the accounting profession, such as public, corporate, managerial, tax, and government accounting. Students graduating from the department are prepared to obtain employment in a competitive job market, start a business, or continue their education in graduate and professional degree programs.
Students will be able to:
develop the ability to research professional accounting issues. demonstrate knowledge of the basic principles of record keeping and financial reporting. utilize technology in performing accounting tasks.demonstrate knowledge of the basic principles of cost and managerial accounting.
demonstrate knowledge of the principles of United States income taxation. demonstrate knowledge of the basic processes and control systems operated by businesses. discern ethical conflicts and provide a framework for their resolution.
demonstrate knowledge of the international dimensions of the accounting profession.

Entry requirements for 內華達大學雷諾分校
To be admitted to an undergraduate degree program as a regular freshman student, you must be a graduate from an approved or accredited high school (GED certificate may not be used for admission) and satisfy the below requirements:
You must have a 3.0 weighted GPA in the academic core courses in order to be admitted to the University of Nevada, Reno. The academic courses include: English, math, social sciences and natural sciences. A weighted GPA takes into account the extra difficulty of honors, AP or IB classes.
If you are not admissible, you will be offered enrollment to a Nevada NSHE Community College. You will be offered admission to a Nevada university once you have completed a minimum of 24 college transferable semester credits at a NSHE Community College and have a 2.5 GPA in all your coursework.
If you are a student who does not meet our academic GPA requirements, but have graduated with an Advanced Diploma from a Nevada high school, you will be granted admission to the University. You must also meet the 13 core course requirements in English, mathematics, social studies and natural sciences to be considered for admission.
You must submit your final, official high school transcripts to support your application for admission.
IELTS (must be academic version) with a score of 6.0+
TOEFL score 61+
English language requirements
