The Art and Design route will prepare you for a career in the design, performing arts, or creative industries. The studies focus on letting you explore and enhance your creative side while training you on a wide range of tools and applications based on your interest. You can choose from a wide range of different art and design avenues including photography, graphic design, animation, computer-generated graphics and modelling.

Art and Design study options and costs
Art & Design is a broad discipline that allows students to pursue a wide range of interests. Most Art majors are BA degrees. Postgraduate studies in Art and Design allows you to specialise further in a particular art genre. The annual fee for an undergraduate Arts and design degree varies between AUD 20,000 to 45,000 in Australia, USD 21,000 to 47,000 in the US and CAD 17,000 to 41,000 in Canada.

Career Pathways for Art and Design graduates
Art Director
Art directors are in charge of the visual style and images in online and offline publications including, newspapers, commercial packaging, and film and television projects. They create the overall aesthetic and supervise the work of others who create artwork or layouts.
Industrial Designer
Industrial designers create concepts for products such as automobiles, appliances, and toys. They are responsible for creating the visual design of goods that people use every day by combining art, business, and engineering.
Fashion Designer
Fashion designers create sketches for clothing, footwear, and accessories. They develop sketches, pick fabrics and patterns, and give instructions on how to make the products they design.
Graphic Designer
Graphic designers use computer software to piece together visual designs that inspire, inform, and engage clients. They develop layouts for advertising material, brochures, and reports, among other things.
Animator
An animator creates a succession of images known as frames that, when combined, appear to move, giving the effect of animation. Colour grading, VFX, 2D and 3D modelling are some of the specialities of animators.
