New Bachelor's Degree in Tourism, Convention & Event Planning

Apart from its extensive portfolio of associate degrees, CSN also offers 11 bachelor's degrees.

In late 2020, the college added a newcomer to the family when it received approval for a new bachelor's degree in Tourism, Convention, and Event Planning and what better place to study exactly that than in Las Vegas?

With a massive influx of tourists and convention participants visiting from all over the world each year, students at CSN will literally be in the heart of the tourism, convention and event industry, and have the opportunity to learn from the best in the world. The first cohort will be enrolled in the Fall 2021.

What is the 2+2 model?

Students at CSN are able to transfer to one of the college's partner institutions to earn their bachelor's degree after they complete their two-year associate degree at CSN.

When students earn an AA, AS, or AB degree at CSN, the courses they complete at CSN will fulfill the first two years of their bachelor's degree with one of the college's many partners.

Student safety

Student safety

On Campus

The College of Southern Nevada considers the safety of its students, faculty, staff and visitors to be of the highest priority. CSN's campuses and centers are protected by University Police Services South, a comprehensive police department created and governed by the Nevada System of Higher Education to protect its students. Officers patrol all facilities to ensure that students can focus on what matters: their studies.

The college recommends that all students install its MobileSAFETY App on their phone so they receive important safety alerts and have instant access to Campus safety resources and emergency contacts.

Las Vegas

As is the case with many other cities of similar size, Las Vegas is considered a safe place to live for the most part. However, it is always wise for students to be mindful of their surroundings, avoid dark alleys at night, not to engage with people who make them feel uncomfortable, avoid parts of town with which they are not familiar at night, and to have the company of a friend or two. Students are encouraged to take advantage of everything the city has to offer while exercising due caution and common sense.
