The main campus of Coventry University is based in the centre of England in the city of Coventry, with Coventry University London just an hour away by train. The Coventry campus is undergoing constant redevelopment. Recent investments include the multi-million-pound Alison Gingell building, offering Health and Life Sciences students the opportunity to experience real-world healthcare scenarios with a fully equipped ambulance, operating theatre and sports therapy clinic. The new GDP 25 million Beatrice Shilling Building is home to a host of facilities including a gaming and virtual reality studio, a specialist area for 3D printing and rapid prototyping, a laser facility and physics and electronics laboratories. The Faculty of Arts and Humanities is in the final stages of redeveloping its building complex which will include a hyper-studio for experimental, collaborative projects, new immersive studios for sound and vision (AR VR XR), new photography and film production facilities, hack labs, post-production and games suites, as well as a new gallery and fully updated creative practice studios, workshops and fabrication spaces.
The university has also invested GBP 89 million in accommodation between 2016 and 2019, including Bishopgate, Godiva Place and The Cycle Works, which are all located within easy walking distance of the main campus.
