Deakin College (DC) is located in Victoria, Australia and offers a range of study programs providing a direct pathway to enrolment at Deakin University. Graduation ensures guaranteed entry to over 70 undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs. The college has seen over 26,000 students progress to their chosen degree course.
DC is located in Victoria, Australia's most south-eastern state. The state is famous for the Great Ocean Road, a highway that connects Victoria's incredible mountains, beaches and charming towns. The college itself has three locations in Australia, each situated within a Deakin University campus. The Melbourne Burwood Campus, and two campuses in the city of Geelong, about 75 kilometres south west of Melbourne and accessible by train or car in one hour.
These two coastal cities offer a modern and dynamic living experience, with plazas restaurants and bars, as well as beaches and busy arts districts. Melbourne is known for its cultural diversity and is often referred to as the coffee capital of the world. The city is regularly ranked as the world's most liveable city.
Incoming students at DC join a community of over 3,000 students from Australia and around the world. It has a large international student community that makes up around 60 per cent of all enrolled students. DC is the preferred pathway provider to Deakin University, and a DC diploma is equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree, meaning students can move directly to the second year of their degree course. Fast track options are available, and start dates are flexible. A DC diploma is also accepted by other Australian Universities.
DC students benefit from shared use of all the Deakin University facilities, including study rooms, sports facilities and can even join university clubs and societies. DC pathway programs ensure a smooth and successful transition to further university education for international students.
