Overview

ONCAMPUS UK North offers foundation and progression degree programmes that prepare international students for study at top UK universities. It works in partnership with the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) and programmes are based at ONCAMPUS UK North's centre on UCLan's campus.

Successful completion of a programme guarantees students entry to a degree programme at the university, which is one of the top modern universities in the North West of England. The institution was ranked in the top 3.3 per cent of all universities worldwide in the Center for World University Rankings 2017. It also affords students the opportunity to apply, though UCAS, to any other top northern university in the UK should they choose not to progress to UCLan.

International students receive plenty of friendly support from ONCAMPUS UK North as soon as they arrive. They are assigned a Personal Tutor who is on-hand to assist them with whatever they need during their time studying in the UK. They can access help in areas such as health, wellbeing, disability and careers, and are well-supported with their planning and application to university.

All students can enjoy the services available at UCLan, including the Students' Union (SU). The SU has a dedicated employment agency, supermarket and print studio, where students can buy specialist materials for their courses. It also runs a variety of clubs and societies which all are welcome to join, covering interests such as tennis, musical theatre, Japanese and fashion.

The university is located in Preston, which boasts plenty of attractions, including a thriving arts and culture scene. There are many museums and art galleries, as well as mainstream and art house cinemas, shopping centres, independent coffee shops and a thriving nightlife. Preston is less than an hour from Manchester and Liverpool, and two hours from London.
