Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) is a nationally recognized, public institution offering students high-quality education programs. SIUE was recently reclassified as a Doctoral/Professional University by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education, recognizing its contribution to research.
It features a 2,660-acre campus in a stunning setting, overlooking the Mississippi River, and is ranked amongst America's Top Colleges (Forbes Magazine). Students are able to access state-of-the-art equipment and facilities across new engineering, art and design, and science buildings with a focus on research labs and design spaces.

SIUE provides low tuition fees which are extremely competitive within the U.S. education market. This is offset by a commitment to providing its diverse students with an outstanding education, with over USD 148 million worth of scholarships available each year, including many scholarship and assistantship opportunities for international students.
Numerous varsity sports teams represent the university at NCAA Division 1 level, with the school ranked 13th among U.S. public institutions for graduating student athletes.
