Overview

Overview

Founded in 1960, St Paul's School is an independent Anglican day school, located in northern Brisbane, Australia. The school has a 60-year heritage of providing high-quality education, and currently teaches pupils at a wide range of ages and entry points, up to Year 12.

St Paul's School is located approximately 17 kilometers north of Brisbane's central business district, in Queensland Australia's ‘Sunshine State'. The school's spacious 51-hectare campus sits on the banks of the South Pine River, in a safe and well-connected suburb surrounded by a mixture of rural and residential properties. The self-contained site includes the school buildings as well as an array of sporting fields and areas of beautifully preserved grazing land including many endemic plant species, and a pair of old-growth Hoop Pine trees, which are now heritage-listed and estimated at over 150 years old.

Facilities include well-established buildings, furnished with modernized equipment, including a Music Centre, School Chapel, the Geize Library, a renovated Design and Technology Centre, and Science Laboratories. The Sutton Building features an international school, teaching preparatory English classes for prospective high-school pupils, as well as a cafeteria.

The school employs an innovative approach towards tuition, centered around three principles of faith, community, and learning. Experiential learning ensures exposure to a variety of stimuli and teaching methods, and vertical age structuring of tutor groups, comprising a mix of pupils from Years 7 to 12, encourages peer-to-peer mentoring and collaboration with a more diverse group of individuals than would usually be the case.

With a legacy of strong academic results, St Paul's School is a fantastic stepping stone to competitive courses of higher education, and the school is extremely proud of its curriculum and teaching staff. Over 85 percent of Year 12 students successfully achieve admission to their first or second university preference.
