Global Excellence scholarship taking applications for 2024

UWA's Global Excellence Scholarship will be available in 2024 to support high-achieving undergraduate and postgraduate students. The scholarship will be automatically awarded to eligible students based on the ATAR/WAM requirements.

If you're looking to study in Australia in 2024, undergraduate students can receive scholarships of up to AUD48,000 over 4 years on eligible courses or AUD 36,000 over 3 years postgraduate students can receive up to AUD 24,000* over two years on eligible courses.

Entry requirements

Entry requirements

English language requirements

All international applicants are required to have a recognised English language qualification such as IELTS or equivalent. A higher level of English is required for some courses. Students are encouraged to visit the entry requirements page on the UWA website to find out about approved English language tests.

Alternate entry options

There are several pathways through which students can gain acceptance to study at UWA. Some students are unable to enter the university directly after completing high school in their home countries. These students are encouraged to take a pre-university course known as a foundation programme.

Undergraduate studies

Students who wish to gain entry to an undergraduate degree course must demonstrate academic performance through school-leaving qualifications or previous study. The university accepts overseas qualifications in applications for study.

Postgraduate studies

Applicants for postgraduate courses are expected to have completed an undergraduate degree at an approved university. Applicants for MPhil or doctoral programmes must demonstrate sufficient experience in research.

Reid Library

Reid Library was UWA's first purpose-built library and is still the largest of UWA's five libraries. Located at the heart of the Perth campus, it has more than 2,000 study spaces, including its terrace and balcony.

Barry J Marshall Library

Named after the university's Nobel Prize-winning professor, this hub for science, engineering, mathematics and computing students and researchers has soundproofed study rooms, multimedia suites, more than 1,000 seats and a cafe.

EZONE

This is a top-notch learning space for engineering and mathematical science students that has 11 flexible teaching spaces, three science laboratories, space for 150 research students and spaces for graduates, industry, community and pre-startups.

Bayliss Building

Home to the School of Molecular Sciences, this five-storey building is a thriving centre for world-class research, with advanced labs on every level and features an impressive DNA double helix design.

Business School Trading Room

The UWA Business School hosts a world-class trading room for students at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD levels.

The Rosemarie Nathanson Financial Markets Trading Room is a state-of-the-art trading and analysis centre that offers access to real-time data of over 400 international markets.

Beasley Law Library

The Beasley Law Library is a modern space that offers a learning environment for research, collaboration, and study. Students enjoy access to a range of specialised databases, law journals and articles.

Guild Village
