Overview
The University of Brighton is a dynamic public institution located on the south coast of the UK. Over 200 programmes are offered at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with courses ranging from fine art to mathematics. The university is highly regarded for the quality of its teaching, and achieves excellent results in national and international assessments.
Practical work is designed into many programmes, with work placements and internships allowing students to build experience and confidence in their university work, as well as their future careers.
There is also a dedicated Careers and Employability team, offering advice and guidance including CV and cover letter guidance, interview training, and access to a timetable of workshops and networking events throughout the year. As a result of this, the University of Brighton has a very high graduate employment rate, with 91.6 per cent of students finding work within six months of completing their course.
Distributed across four campuses in Brighton and Eastbourne, the university has excellent facilities and resources, with both course-specific and recreational facilities available to all students. The university supports more than 60 sports clubs and organises over 100 special interest societies, where students can learn new skills and pursue their interests while making friends and meeting like-minded individuals. Enterprising students may even start their own society, and take the opportunity to contribute to the wider student community. Over 3,000 international students are enrolled each year.
There is a range of dedicated student support services, helping all students to feel secure and confident in their decision to study in Brighton, with a free and confidential counselling service, LGBTQ+ support, academic tutoring and disability support. The university works hard to ensure the success of its students, both academically and personally.
