Campus developments

The University of Tampa has undergone massive campus investment in recent years. In 2019, work was completed on two high-tech buildings, which provide students with top-quality learning facilities.

Fab Lab

Providing an innovative and creative space, the digital fabrication lab will host one of the most forward-thinking visual arts programs in the U.S.

Designed with an entrepreneurial focus, the Fab Lab will allow students and faculty inventors to produce prototypes and products. Its high-quality facilities will be the latest in computer technology, including laser cutters, 3D printers, computer numerical control routers and large format printers.

The University of Tampa offers a variety of creative study options. Fantastic learning experiences take place across its four reputable colleges, which are:

  • College of Arts and Letters
  • Sykes College of Business
  • College of Natural and Health Sciences
  • College of Social Sciences, Mathematics and Education

Having four colleges allows UT to have a small school feel while still growing rapidly as an institution. Each academic area is given the freedom to create its own unique individual identity, with students and faculty encouraged to support the wider scholarly community.

UT's four-college model also brings greater transparency, and each college has its own dean, who reports to wider university bosses on academic issues. External community connections are also supported, allowing new and innovative programs to be created.
