Made up of three faculties (Arts Social Sciences and Science, Engineering and Medicine), the university has been dedicated to developing and inspiring students from the classroom into their careers for more than 55 years.

Classroom facilities are state-of-the-art and enhance the intellectual development and individual learning of students. Ranked 6th amongst UK universities (The Guardian University Guide 2022), Warwick not only supports students with their chosen discipline but also actively encourages them to pursue subjects outside of their degree.

Student skills are further developed by the university's expert careers advisers. Their focus on skills development, employability and preparing students for the global job market makes Warwick the sixth most targeted university by the UK's top 100 graduate employers (The Graduate Market in 2022, High Fliers Research Ltd.).

The institution's pioneering work, learning without limits attitude and boundary-crossing work has led to it being internationally recognised for research. Warwick was ranked 7th amongst UK research universities by the Research Excellence Framework, 2014.

When it comes to student life, Warwick's campus is located in Coventry, the 5th best student city in the UK (QS Best Student Cities 2022). The city centre is close by, where students can explore and socialise. The towns of Leamington Spa, Stratford-upon-Avon, and Kenilworth are also only a short distance away. Birmingham, the UK's second-largest city, is a short train ride from Coventry, and London is just an hour away by train too.

Entry requirements

Entry requirements at the University of Warwick vary depending on the course and level of study. Students can view all entry requirements on the university website.

International students that require a visa to study in the UK may also need to submit evidence of an English language test (e.g., IELTS) instead of an examination due to the visa restrictions set by the government.

English Language Requirements

To be eligible for a place at Warwick, students must be able to understand and communicate in both written and spoken English. While the level of required ability varies between courses, students need to provide evidence that they meet their chosen subject's competency.

Students can showcase their English language competency by taking a GCSE English Language qualification, or through English courses within the International Baccalaureate. Other accepted English tests include IELTS and PTE, but these qualifications must be completed within the two years leading up to the start of degree study.
