About the course
To be eligible for a middle/high school teaching license, you must take at least 46.5 credit hours in theatre, in addition to education courses. You can complete the program in four years. To make sure you stay on track in both areas, you'll have two academic advisors-one in the Theatre Department and one in the Teacher Education Department.
You have a passion for performing arts. You would rather spend the majority of your time training students in theatre and directing productions than being onstage or backstage. You have a desire to teach in a classroom setting. You genuinely enjoy helping others.
