About the IELTS Results

IELTS on computer (Standard/UKVI) result will be available 3-5 calendar days after the test, and only electronic TRF* is provided that can be downloaded through your account.  

*IELTS for UKVI on Computer eTRF will be available March 15, 2024.

 

While IELTS on Paper (Standard/UKVI) result will be available 13 calendar days after the test.** 

** IELTS for UKVI Lifeskills on Paper are released 7 days after the test.

** All provisional scores can be viewed online here. 

** Official Test Result Form (TRF) can be claimed either in Manila or Cebu Test Center if your registered address is within Metro Manila/Cebu. Registered addresses outside the said areas are automatically for shipment, and the shipping day/s is exclusive from the 13-day or 7-day result release.

Important Result Reminders:  

• You will only receive one copy of your Test Report Form, unless you are applying to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) – in this case, you can receive two. Proof of application to CIC must be provided. 

• If you have nominated institutions to receive copies of your IELTS test results when booking, these will be sent automatically on your behalf (any additional copies will incur administration charge/s).

Thousands of organizations, including universities, colleges, employers, professional registration bodies and governments, will accept your IELTS result as proof of your English proficiency.

Understanding your result

There is no pass or fail score in IELTS. Your test results are reported in band scores from 1.0, the lowest, to 9.0, the highest, in half band increments.  You will receive an overall band score, as well as individual band scores for each test section - Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. The overall band score is an average of all four scores, rounded to the nearest whole or half. All four sections are weighed equally.

If you did not achieve the score you need it is important that you pause and take the time to think about how you can improve your English before you take the test again.

For example, perhaps you could consider taking an English language course where the teacher will be able to support you and provide feedback to help you improve. You can also consider taking free IELTS practice tests.
