Cal State Fullerton is a leading campus of the CSU, serving as an intellectual and cultural center for Southern California and driver of workforce and economic development. It is an emerging national model for supporting student success through innovative high-impact educational and co-curricular experiences, including faculty-student collaborative research. California State University Fullerton offers more than 100 undergraduate and graduate degrees in a wide variety of academic fields. Many of these disciplines also provide opportunities for concentrations and special emphasis areas within a given degree.

Once part of a vast orange grove, Cal State Fullerton’s attractively landscaped main campus now consists of approximately 241 acres bounded on the south by Nutwood Ave., on the west by State College Blvd., on the north by Yorba Linda Blvd. and on the east by the Orange Freeway (57). The portion of Orange County immediately surrounding the campus is predominantly suburban, it includes housing tracts, apartment complexes, shopping centers and industrial parks. Other educational institutions are part of the immediate environment. The Southern California College of Optometry opened in the spring of 1973 and later became part of Marshall B. Ketchum University. The campus is just north of Cal State Fullerton.

Since 1961, the CSU has provided an affordable, accessible and high-quality education to 3.7 million graduates throughout California. While each campus is unique based on its curricular specialties, location and campus culture, every CSU is distinguished for the quality of its educational programs. All campuses are fully accredited, provide a high-quality broad liberal educational program and offer opportunities for students to engage in campus life through the Associated Students Inc., clubs and service learning.
