Coquitlam College offers university transfer programs in Associate of Arts degrees, along with diploma and certificate courses, specialising in English language studies, sciences, humanities and social sciences. Additionally, there are three high school programs and two English study programs for students to study.

The Coquitlam College Associate of Arts degree is a two-year program which provides a wide base of knowledge in the arts, humanities, and social sciences. Students develop key critical thinking and research skills, preparing them to enter the workforce, or progress to further undergraduate study. An additional benefit of an Associate of Arts degree is that students are eligible to work off-campus on a part-time basis for up to 20 hours per week.

The university transfer programs offered at the college include options for both one-year and two-year Associate of Arts degree programs, in a range of 30 different courses including accounting, computer science, biology, French, and statistics, and many others.

The one-year university transfer program is designed to give students a firm foundation in their intended area of study. The program requires students to complete 30 to 31 course credits, and this facilitates direct entry into second year of study at the university of their choice. There are three pathways within the one-year program, in arts, business and science.

The two-year university transfer program gives the chance to begin specializing in an academic area of interest, and requires students to complete 60 to 31 course credits. Completion facilitates transfer into the third year of an undergraduate degree program. There are two pathways within the two-year program, in arts and business.

Scholarships & funding

Scholarships & funding

Coquitlam College is a private institution which works hard to keep tuition fees accessible to students from all over the world. While the institution does not run its own program of scholarships or bursaries, there is plenty of help available though the Coquitlam College Advising Centre.

Here, regulated international student immigration advisors (RISIA) are available to support international students, and can assist them in applying for external funding available through regional and national sponsorship schemes.

Additionally, students enrolled in the college's full-time Associate of Arts degree are eligible to work up to 20 hours per week, enabling them to subsidise the cost of study by taking a part-time job. After completing the degree, full-time students are eligible to apply for a post graduate work permit (PGWP), and upon successful completion of the first year of full-time work, graduates are eligible to apply for permanent residency in Canada.
