Lester B. Pearson School Board (LBPSB) is one of the largest and most successful English school boards in Quebec. LBPSB covers vast territory spanning Montreal’s West Island, extending to off-island and South-West regions, encompassing the richness of the city’s landscapes and the diversity of its people. Through innovative pedagogy, immersive learning experiences, a board-wide mission of lifelong learning, and engagement with Montreal’s multicultural community, LBPSB successfully implements its educational mission to over 20,000 students across 37 elementary schools, 12 high schools, and 8 adult/vocational centres.

LBPSB has the highest 5-year graduation rate in the province. This achievement is the result of a student-focused teaching philosophy, where their dedicated teachers, administrators, and staff foster students’ academic and personal interests while providing support throughout their educational path. LBPSB is guided by 3 core values i.e. Achievement, Wellness, and Engagement.

The student-centered approach encourages its learners to develop their interests, foster new talents and challenge themselves. Beginning in elementary school, students are exposed to innovation educational technology and immersive experiences in the arts and sports all while being supported through the curriculum by the most dedicated teachers, administrators and staff. Continuing in secondary schools, students are encouraged further to strengthen their skills in preparation for higher education, vocational studies and giving back to the community.
