New Zealand School of Tourism is the country's largest private tertiary establishment that specializes in training programmes for the airline, travel and tourism industries. The institute started as Travel Careers & Training in 1985 with one campus in Wellington. Several years later it opened a second campus in Auckland before purchasing Sir George Seymour College in 2006. This gave the company seven campuses and it has since grown to eight campuses throughout New Zealand. All courses are New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) approved and students are eligible to apply for Government Student Loans and Allowances.

The brand new Auckland City campus is a sight to behold. Designed by Ellery Muir the new campus has a different theme on each of the 4 levels - Stylish corporate, Aviation, Pasifika and fabulous New York. Facilities include classrooms, computer labs, free wifi, 2 student lunchrooms including microwave, free tea/coffee, water cooler, lifts, disabled facilities as well as an airline cabin trainer / aircraft seats and flight attending equipment. There are numerous travel options for students attending Auckland Queen St Campus.

The airport campus is NZST flagship campus with classrooms, computer labs, a Boeing 747 service trainer, a full Boeing 737 aircraft cabin trainer, an A320 cabin trainer, air evacuation slides, life raft and an airline fire-fighting simulator. Located on Auckland airport land it is a two-minute walk from Countdown supermarket, cafes and shops. This campus is also home to Virgin Australia who are permanently on site and other airlines such as Qantas Jetconnect who use this facility for the training of their flight attendants.
