The Culinary Collective is New Zealand’s brand new cooking and hospitality school, based in Auckland City and at Sylvia Park. It is the part of NZMA, a category one provider and the largest private tertiary group in New Zealand.

At the institution, students will be taught by passionate tutors up to speed with the latest trends and get to visit farms, vineyards and breweries as part of most courses. These experiences with hand-on career coaching will help them build the confidence to get work in the cooking and hospitality industry, as well as work experience opportunities to get them started. If a student dreams of running their own business, the institutions also provides entrepreneurial and management skills teachings with certain courses.

Training at The Culinary Collective is loads of fun. Students will be immersed in New Zealand’s exciting food, beverage and service culture, get to eat and drink all kinds of things and hear the stories behind some of the most important ingredients. On many courses, students will also get to see where they’re grown, produced or sourced from too.

The Culinary Collective have two locations. The City campus is close to K Road in Auckland’s city centre and Sylvia Park campus is super close to the Sylvia Park shopping centre and train station. Both campuses are kitted out to give students the best possible learning experience, including a full working cafe that they will train in as part of their course. The cafe is also available to all students to buy breakfasts, lunches, snacks and coffees throughout the day. As students would expect, the institute also have commercial training kitchens, production kitchens, bakeries, cocktail and wine training centres, coffee training centres, fine dining training restaurants, commercial bars and restaurants, library, computer labs and multi-functional classrooms.
