University of Otago Language Centre and Foundation Year

The University of Otago Language Centre and Foundation Year is a world class educational institute that provides the perfect platform for further studies. It provides expert English language tuition, academic knowledge and an entry qualification to enable students to be admitted to a New Zealand university or improve their English language skills. The Centre offers a supportive, caring and safe environment where students can reach their full potential, whatever field of study they choose.

The institute provides a unique combination of English language tuition and Foundation tertiary studies which provides a pathway for students of varying levels of English and academic abilities to achieve their goal of gaining entrance to a prestigious university, while at the same time building life-long skills and friendships. It runs special scholarship programmes for Maori and Pacific Island students, and most domestic students will be eligible for Study Link funding.

The University of Otago Language Centre and Foundation Year is located in the University of Otago Campus, beside a great cafe and huge gymnasium complex, and also next door to New Zealand’s premiere stadium.
