The Katz School takes an interdisciplinary approach to research and education, fostering the creativity, collaborative thinking and builder mindset required to take on today's toughest problems. Learning at the Katz School is more than just sitting and listening. Students learn by doing-working shoulder-to-shoulder with faculty to build technologies, conduct research, and experiment in the lab. By conducting case studies, simulations, research and individual and team projects, Katz students tackle real-world challenges and are prepared for a lifetime of professional success. 

The Katz School welcomes applications from international students. The school takes a holistic approach to admissions and seeks students with intellectual curiosity, a capacity for rigorous academic work and a commitment to their field of study.

All applicants must meet the academic requirements for their specific degree program, including minimum GPA and any prerequisite knowledge or coursework. International students will need to satisfy the same academic criteria as domestic students and must demonstrate proficiency in the English language. Evidence can be shown through completion of the TOEFL IBT exam, IELTS, or the Duolingo English Test (DET) with the following minimum requirements: TOEFL: 85 IELTS: 6.5 Duolingo: 110 PTE: 59. Tests must be taken no more than two years prior to the date of your application.

Applications for 2023 are submitted online and will be accepted on a rolling basis. Application requirements include a completed online application, a $50 USD application fee, transcripts (in English) from all universities and colleges attended, a statement of purpose, a resume/CV, and proof of English proficiency. The Katz School currently offers the STEM Fellows program, which includes a $9-$15K scholarship (amount varies by program), reducing total tuition to $25K for a graduate degree. In addition to the scholarship, STEM Fellows receive industry mentorship through their studies and have the opportunity to showcase and publish their research at the Katz School's annual Symposium on Science, Technology and Health.

STEM Fellows have conducted research, completed internships and landed jobs at major companies including IBM, BlackRock, Bank of NY Mellon, Standard & Poor's, Merck, American Eagle Outfitters, New York City MTA, New York Stem Cell Foundation, Digitas North America, Radware, Kantar Health, Lucerna and more. 

The STEM Fellows program is open to both US and international students. International students will be able to work up to 3 years in the United States for their STEM OPT. Applicants are automatically considered for the STEM Fellows program at the time of their application no additional application is needed. STEM Fellows may apply external scholarships (e.g., Fulbright, NSF, government support) towards their tuition but may not combine other scholarships from Yeshiva University or the Katz School with the STEM Fellows scholarship.
