Master of Science in Environmental Systems - Geology
關於課程
Each candidate for the Environmental Systems degree will choose one of the three options listed below. The student will then consult with an appropriate faculty advisor and prepare an individual program of study that must be approved by a faculty graduate committee. The curriculum typically requires two years for completion and includes a thesis or project, depending on the option, as part of the student's program of study.
Most graduate students in the Geology option focus on geologic analysis or modeling and measurement of geomorphic processes with particular emphasis on neotectonics, uplift, seismic hazard, hillslope erosion, sediment transport, and channel stability. However, thesis projects have may include aspects of structural geology, geophysics, igneous or, sedimentary petrology or stratigraphy.

Entry requirements for 加州州立大學洪堡分校
The applicant holds an acceptable bachelor's degree earned at an institution accredited by a regional accrediting association, or the applicant has completed equivalent academic preparation, and The applicant has satisfied any one of the following:
1. GPA of at least 2.5 in an acceptable earned bachelor's degree,
2. GPA of at least 2.75 in the last 60 semester units (90 quarter units) attempted,
3. The applicant holds an acceptable post baccalaureate degree earned at an institution accredited by a regional accrediting association,
The applicant was in good standing at the last institution of higher education attended.
IELTS: 6.5
TOEFL: 80 IBT, 550 PBT, 213 CBT
