Biomedical Sciences at York will open up your potential to become a future leading researcher, policymaker or administrator in biomedical sciences. You will learn how to distil and critique information in the face of ambiguity and complexity. You will learn how to critically assess information to gain a balanced understanding, how to develop and test scientific hypotheses and how to present your findings clearly and concisely to experts and non-experts alike. This degree will provide you with the skills required to tackle current and future challenges to human health.
The Integrated Masters course will allow you to use and further develop research and analytical skills, you will gain experience in a research lab doing pioneering work at the forefront of their field. This experience will provide you with a platform to launch a career as a research scientist.
Our course is delivered by four University departments with outstanding biomedical research activity: The Department of Biology, The Department of Health Sciences, The Department of Psychology, and the Hull York Medical School. The combined teaching across these departments ensure you have the latest understanding of the most important topics in human biology and disease, infection and immunity, epidemiology, and neuroscience.

Entry requirements for 約克大學
All Official Transcripts. A levels - A typical offer would be AAA/AAB including Biology and Chemistry or AAA/AAB including Biology and either Maths or Physics, and B in AS Chemistry. We exclude General Studies from our offers. You will need Biology at A2 and Chemistry to at least AS. Preference will be given to applicants with Chemistry A2 but if you only have Chemistry AS, a second science to A2 is required, preferably Maths or Physics. Access to Higher Education Diploma - Pass the Access to HE Diploma with 36-39 credits at Distinction and 6-9 credits at Merit or higher. Must include Biology and Chemistry modules at Level 3. For further information please contact the department. BTEC - DDD We only consider the 180 credit BTEC National Extended Diploma in Applied Science with all 7 mandatory units plus 3 or more from 8,9,10,11,17 and both 13 and 14. European Baccalaureate - Overall score of 85%/80%, including individual scores of 85% and 80% in Biology and Chemistry plus 65% in English. International Baccalaureate - 36/35 points including 6 in Higher Level Biology and 6 in Higher Level Chemistry. If you have Chemistry to standard level only, you will need 7 in SL Chemistry in addition to 6 in HL Biology and 6 in either HL Maths or HL Physics. If English is not your first language then we would also require either 4 in Higher Level English B or 5 in Standard Level English B. Irish leaving Certificate - AAAAAB/AAAABB, including Biology and Chemistry at higher level. Scottish Highers / Advanced Highers - AA/AB in Biology and Chemistry in Advanced Highers, plus AAAAA/AAAAB in Highers. IELTS: 6.5, with a minimum of 6.0 in each component. TOEFL IBT: 87 overall, with a minimum of 21 in Listening, 21 in Reading, 21 in Speaking, 21 in Writing.
