The Doctor of Philosophy in Biology curriculum spans the spectrum of subdisciplines of the biological sciences. The program is grounded in coursework involving current biological concepts and culminates in the defense of a dissertation describing novel and quality research conducted independently by the student. PhD graduates in Biology are highly competitive for positions in academic settings, industry, and international research facilities. The PhD program in Biology offers students two distinct degree tracks that allow students to obtain broad, foundational training in modern biology while also affording a focused, specialized research experience: (1) Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology (EEO) and (2) Cell, Molecular, Health, and Disease Biology (CMHD).

Entry requirements for 貝勒大學

Official transcripts are required before an international applicant can begin the I-20 visa process.
Diplomas/Proof of Degree/Academic Certificates.
Applicants accepted to our Ph.D. or M.S. program possess at least a B.S. degree (M.S. preferred for Ph.D. degree applicants) in Biology, Biochemistry, or related field, a minimum GPA of 3.0 (typically >3.5), minimum GRE verbal and quantitative reasoning scores typically at or above the 70th percentile, excellent letters of recommendation from professors or employers who know you well, and a strong personal statement demonstrating maturity, innate interest in biology, and sufficient research experience to be successful in graduate school.
