The highly ranked Martin A. Fisher School of Physics at Brandeis University has an international reputation for excellence in research. It is located just outside Boston, a major center of physics research and home to some of the world’s best universities. You’ll be exposed to a steady stream of distinguished speakers and important colloquia.
Many of our doctoral students go on to become post-doctoral fellows or professors at top institutions, such as MIT and Harvard. Others begin careers in industry or government, or pursue research in the nation’s most prestigious labs.

Entry requirements for 布蘭迪斯大學
A bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) must be obtained prior to matriculation in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.
Transcripts from all universities and colleges attended must be uploaded to your application, do not mail official transcripts to our office.
Three letters of recommendation, submitted online.
A statement of purpose indicating your reasons for undertaking graduate study. In addition, please describe your qualifications for the physics program and your objectives in undertaking this program. Applicants to the doctoral program should clearly outline their research interests and how they would complement those of the faculty.
Standardized tests: Graduate Record Exam (GRE) general test is required. The GRE subject test is recommended, but not required. Our GRE institution code is 3092 (please note: this institution code only applies to GRE scores).
Minimum scores for each exam are:
600 (paper-based TOEFL)
250 (computer-based TOEFL)
100 (Internet-based TOEFL)
7 (IELTS)
English language requirements
