Entry requirements for 布朗大學

Admission is open to those with or without relevant post-baccalaureate training although those with a Masters degree or relevant doctoral training are preferred. Regardless of disciplinary background, applicants with a relevant Master's degree, as determined by the Admissions Committee on a case-by-case basis, may petition to transfer credits to count toward the doctoral degree.
Students wishing to pursue graduate work in Health Services Research must complete a Brown University application (see details regarding SOPHAS below). Applicants are required to submit GRE exam scores (within five years, no minimum requirement). Other standardized tests (e.g., MCAT, LSAT) may not substitute for the GRE. Subject test scores can be submitted but are not required.
Transcripts
We strongly encourage applicants to submit a scanned image of the transcript at the time of application, which can speed processing, however, a final, official transcript will be required of all admitted students who matriculate. Applicants who have attended international institutions must submit transcripts or certified attestations of study, with certified English translations.
All international applicants whose native language is not English must submit an official Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score. The minimum score for admission consideration is 577 on the paper-based test and 90 on the Internet-based test. For IELTS, the recommended minimum overall band score is 7.
