The Graduate Certificate in Educational Technology is designed for educators, e-learning developers, and industry technologists. The program combines instructional design theories with a knowledge of emerging technologies. The program advocates lifelong learning that allows students to nurture their personal and professional growth. The arenas in which Educational Technology Certificate graduates will be active include school districts, county offices of education, community colleges, the high tech industry as an e-learning developer, and the field of instructional design.
Our students earn a graduate certificate to gain or enhance employment as an educational technologist, instructional designers, a curriculum specialist, community college instructors, school district technology director and technology trainer. Certificate holders also teach more effectively using educational technologies in the classroom. Finally, a certificate allows the transfer of 9 units to the Master’s in Educational Technology.

Entry requirements for 加州州立大學東灣分校
Students must demonstrate knowledge and application of various programming languages, or they must have experience with Web-based instruction. Basic knowledge of digital technologies and HTML is required.
Advanced proficiency in one platform (e.g., Macintosh, Windows, UNIX) is also required. Students must maintain competency in technology as long as they are graduate students in the program.
Candidates must hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution.
Candidates must have earned a 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) in all upper division or post baccalaureate coursework.
If a candidate has a baccalaureate degree from out of the country, he/she must have his/her transcripts evaluated by the International Graduate Student Admissions Office.
Have attained a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5 in an acceptable earned baccalaureate degree, or a grade point average of at least 2.5 in the last 60 semester units (90 quarter units) attempted, or hold an acceptable post-baccalaureate degree earned at a regionally accredited institution.
A TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of 550 (213 computer-based or 80 Internet-based) or above.
An overall test score on the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) exam of 6.5 or above.
