Honours Chemistry, Biobased Specialization is only available in the regular system of study. Biobased chemistry spans the design of chemicals and materials from renewable resources via an integrated approach that combines the expertise of the chemist with the principles of green chemistry and resource management. This specialization provides students with the opportunity to acquire the scientific and professional skills required of chemists in this important and rapidly expanding domain. This specialization is delivered in partnership with the University of Bordeaux, in France, and includes the option of studying at the University of Bordeaux in Year Four fall term. Students interested in this option should consult with the academic advisor and be aware that their cumulative overall average should be higher than 60%. Continuing in Honours Chemistry, Biobased Specialization requires a minimum cumulative overall average of 60% and a minimum cumulative Chemistry average of 60%.
