Gain the essential skills you need to enter the field of information technology. UFV's Computer Information Systems (CIS) certificate is a two-semester program. It will give you the knowledge and skills to support small companies that rely on single-user systems. Your courses will emphasize practical learning. You'll apply the theories you're learning through hands-on projects in UFV's well-equipped labs. You'll have the flexibility to choose courses based on your interests. This will prepare you to work in different areas, depending on your choices. You could focus on web support, user technical support, or computer support, for example. When you embark on an IT career, you have many career options. You could focus on software development, systems analysis and design, or UX/UI design. You could become a web designer, database developer, or IT project manager. Other career avenues include computer security, network design and administration, end-user support, or technology management.

如何申請
Entry requirements for 菲沙河谷大學
One of the following:
B.C. secondary school graduation or equivalent
Mature student 19 years or older (see Note)
Completion of nine university-level credits
A minimum GPA of 2.0 in all university courses attempted is required.
One of the following:
Principles of Mathematics 12 with a C+ or better
Foundations of Mathematics 12 with a C or better
Pre-calculus 12 with a C or better
MATH 094 and MATH 095 with a C or better in both
MATH 096 with a C or better
MATH 110 with a C or better
Note: Non-graduates who may require academic preparation are encouraged to contact the Upgrading and University Preparation department (UUP) for assessment and advice before applying to post-secondary programs.
IELTS (Academic) - score of 6.5 or higher with a minimum band score of 6.0
TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) – IBT score of 88 with no section below 20, or
paper-based score of 570 with a TWE (essay) score of 4.5 or higher.
