Electrical, computer, cyber security and software engineers are at the core of our rapidly changing smart world. They are the daring visionaries and bright minds who imagine and invent technologies that connect the world, from power and communications to healthcare, finance and avionics.

Understand ethical principles and conduct responsible research
Effectively communicate and disseminate their technical contributions.
Students pursuing theses/dissertations shall also demonstrate ability to conduct state-of-the-art research and expand the knowledge base in their fields of study
Our mission is to advance the theory and practice of computing and networking systems, focusing on topics such as systems performance, efficiency, security, reliability, and trustworthiness in general. Example research initiatives include developing microarchitectures for high-integrity, security, privacy, and energy efficiency, designing embedded systems, high-speed processors, and memory systems, building advanced data storage systems, developing intermittent sensing, computing, and networking systems such as ultra-low-power IoT (Internet of Things), developing ultra-performance network systems such as those of 5G and beyond.

Entry requirements for 愛荷華州立大學
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical and computer engineering or closely related area. GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher. Graduate Records Examination (GRE) score of 155 or better on the Quantitative section. Statement of Purpose. 3 letters of reccommendation. English Proficiency Minimum: TOEFL Paper (PBT): 570. TOEFL Internet (iBT): 88. IELTS: 6.5. PTE: 59
