Entry requirements for 東田納西州立大學

Graduate students whose native language is not English must submit one of the following: Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): Score of 79 (Internet-Based), Score of 550 (Paper-based). International English Language Testing System (IELTS): Score of 6.5.
Present a minimum of a 3.0 undergraduate grade point average or complete a probationary period in which the student achieves a grade point average of 3.0 and no grade lower than a B in the first 9 credits of graduate credit.
Be reviewed by the Early Childhood Admission committee. Those who do not have an undergraduate degree in early childhood education or a related field of study may be required to take selected undergraduate courses that will strengthen the applicant’s background in early childhood education.
Additionally, candidates for the Initial Licensure concentration must receive a passing score on the PRAXIS CORE (Reading = 156, Writing = 162, Mathematics = 150), a composite score of 22 on the ACT (21 before 1989), or a composite score of 1020 (920 before 4/1/95) on the SAT (Critical Reading and Math sections) prior to admission to the graduate program.
