Master of Science in Mathematics

Entry requirements for 蒙大拿州立大學

While applicants are not required to have undergraduate degrees in mathematics, they must have a strong background in mathematics. Minimum GPA 3.0 and coursework in the following areas:
4 semesters of Calculus through Differential Equations
Linear Algebra
A proof based course in Advanced Calculus or Real Analysis
Official entrance examination, GRE is optional.
International applicants must submit either
a TOEFL score, minimum required score of 80 for admittance, a score of 93 to qualify to be a Graduate Teaching Assistant, or
an IELTS score, minimum required score of 7 for admittance, a score of 7 to qualify to be a Graduate Teaching Assistant
The GREs are optional, but if scores are submitted, they will be taken into account.
All applicants must use the online application to download the following required supporting documentation.
Three letters of recommendation are required from individuals, within your desired program, whom are qualified to assess your ability and potential to succeed as a graduate student.
All applicants must submit a personal statement that includes your academic background, research experience and interests, your future academic goals and how our program fits your interests and aspirations.
All applicants must provide official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.
International Applicants require additional documentation.
