The modern day ‘smart economy’ is powered by equally smart electronic circuits andsystems. The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Electronic Engineering with Computer Systems is a four-year engineering programme that provides graduates with a range of practical skills and competences in the areas of hardware development and validation, product software development, embedded systems and digital communications – all highly relevant skillsets for the innovative Electronic Engineer.
The programme starts off with basic analogue and digital circuits and programming and progresses towards the development of modern day intelligent circuits and systems. It includes practical and project-based learning and professional development in well-equipped modern laboratories. The hands-on nature of this programme means that you learn more than just the theory, you learn the skills that will put you a step ahead of the competition upon graduation. The wide scope of this programme gives you many possible career paths and allows you to develop your strengths for future employment.

如何申請
Entry requirements for Technological University of the Shannon: Midlands Midwest
Application will be through the Central Applications Office (CAO) for entry to stage 1. Applicants must satisfy a minimum stage 1 entry requirement of two H5 and four O6/H7 in six Leaving Certificate subjects, including English or Irish, plus a minimum of O4 in Mathematics in the Leaving Certificate Examination. In practice, entry levels will be above the minimum and points will be calculated from the six best subjects from one sitting.
Direct entry into year 4 is possible for learners with an appropriate exisiting Level7 qualification.
Application for entry to subsequent stages will be through LIT's admissions office (ref Admissions Office Policy and Procedure P016A, and Undergraduate Advanced Entry Application Form F008A). In addition applicants wishing to have prior experiential (non-certified) and accredited (certified) learning recognised may apply under LIT's Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Policy and Procedures (Academic Council Regulations and Procedures for Taught Programmes Part 1 Section 5) using forms ACRP 5001, ACRP 5002 and the Admissions Office Policy and Procedure form F024A as appropriate.
