Master of Laws - International Business and Economic Law

The LL.M. degree in International Business and Economic Law (IBEL) is a flexible degree program designed for students interested in cross-border business activities and the regulatory regimes, national and international, that apply to them. The IBEL degree thus affords students the opportunity to gain exposure to the fundamentals of various U.S. regulatory regimes while remaining free to explore in greater depth the international businesses that are of particular interest to them. Students desiring a comprehensive overview may select courses from various disciplines, such as corporate law, securities law, trade law, commercial law, and dispute resolution. Students desiring a more focused approach are free to concentrate their courses in one or more specialty areas. Students who wish to fulfill the course requirements for New York Bar eligibility can do so while pursuing the IBEL degree. Many students also incorporate an externship into their program, though this will not count towards the IBEL specialization credits without permission from the Program Director.
