Master of Science in Veterinary Medicine

The veterinary medicine graduate program focuses on the scientific study of the mechanisms of transmission and progression of diseases of importance to domestic animals, wildlife and humans with applications to diagnosis, prevention, and treatment. Includes training in infectious and noninfectious disease, epidemiology, environmental biology, ethology, anatomical, clinical and molecular pathobiology. Graduate programs in Veterinary Medicine (VMED) provide high-quality research training to help graduates discover and improve ways to benefit the health and well being of companion and food animals and wildlife. The PhD program prepares independent basic and applied scientists for successful careers in academia, industry, or government. Our MS program instills technical competencies to promote research and medical practice careers. Students choose from four areas of scientific investigation.

如何申請
Entry requirements for 明尼蘇達大學
DVM or equivalent, students with a BA or BS in biological sciences may be considered. Previous laboratory experience is preferred.
The preferred undergraduate GPA for admittance to the program is 3.25.
Applicants must submit a CV or résumé, three letters of recommendation from persons familiar with their scholarship and research potential, and a statement of any research experience, as well as career interests, goals, and objectives.
TOEFL iBT - 79 total score (Writing subscore of 21 and Reading subscore of 19) (Test date within 2 years of program start)
IELTS - 6.5 total score (Writing subscore of 6.5 and Reading subscore of 6.5) (Test date within 2 years of program start)
Total Paper Based Test - 550
English language requirements
