As part of this course, you’ll:
Develop collaborative working skills, putting them into practice working with patients, their carers and other health professionals
Be encouraged to reflect on practice to aid your professional development
Experience placements within a variety of health and social care settings. These could include the NHS, sports clubs, schools and private clinics in specialist areas such as cardio vascular, respiratory, musculoskeletal, neurology and paediatrics
Occupational Health clearance and compliance with standard NHS immunisations requirements is mandatory and essential for placement attendance. Please click “find out more” in the fees and funding section further down this page for full details of any extra costs relating to your course.

Entry requirements for 里茲貝克特大學
UCAS Tariff Points: 128 points required. (Minimum from three A Levels, or equivalent, excluding General Studies. At least 40 points must come from a scientific discipline. Scientific disciplines may be one of the following - Biology, Human Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Physical Education, Sports Studies, Psychology, Applied Science or Physiology. If you are studying Biology, Chemistry or Physics to meet this requirement you must also achieve a 'Pass' in the practical assessment, where that practical assessment is separated (from 2017).).

GCSES:
GCSE Grade C in English Language, Mathematics, Science (Grade 4 for those sitting their GCSE from 2017 onwards). Key Skills Level 2, Functional Skills Level 2 and the Certificate in Adult Literacy/Numeracy are not accepted in place of English Language and Maths GCSEs for entry to this course.
BTEC NATIONAL DIPLOMA:
128 points in an appropriate science award including Sports Science and Sports & Exercise Science (please note other science based awards may be acceptable if studied alongside an A2 level from the scientific discipline list above).
ACCESS TO HE DIPLOMA:
Pass overall with a minimum of 128 UCAS tariff points, in a relevant science or health subject. Must include a minimum of 15 Merits in scientific subjects.
SCOTTISH AWARDS:
Advanced Highers - Grades BBB to include at least one of the following subjects: Biology, Human Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Physical Education, Sports Studies, Psychology, Applied Science or Physiology.
Scottish Highers - Grades ABBBB to include at least 2 of the following subjects: Biology, Human Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Physical Education, Sports Studies, Psychology, Applied Science or Physiology.
IRISH LEAVING CERTIFICATE:
5 subjects at Higher Level at Grade B2 or above of which at least 2 must be at B1. Must include Grade B1 in a scientific discipline in one of the following: Biology, Human Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Physical Education, Sports Studies, Psychology, Applied Science or Physiology.
UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE:
A minimum 2.2 honours degree in a science subject (to have been completed within the last 5 years).
SELECTION CRITERIA:
Students will be recruited on the basis that their values align with those of the NHS Constitution, as well as having the right skills and aptitude, in accordance with Value Based Recruitment, (Health Education England, Value Based Recruitment Framework, October 2014) click here and if selected will need to attend an interview. At interview you will be tested on the values which promote quality care and a positive patient, staff and student experience.
Your personal statement should demonstrate your understanding of the breadth of the physiotherapy role. You should reflect on work experience gained within physiotherapy and/ or wider health and social care explaining how your experience has helped develop your knowledge and understanding of physiotherapy and the principles and values of the NHS. You should reflect on your own personal qualities explaining how your skills and qualities prepare you for the physiotherapy course and a career in healthcare.

INTERVIEW REQUIRED:
We conduct interviews as part of the admissions process and suitable applicants will be invited to an interview - interview dates will be published in due course. Invitations are sent via UCAS and you should check your UCAS Track account for further interview details.
INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE
27 Points required, with grade 6 or above in 2 scientific disciplines, at least one at higher level.
IELTS:
IELTS 7.0 with no skills below 6.5, or an equivalent.
English language requirements
