Role of the School Psychologist
As per the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP), school psychologists provide direct support and interventions to students, consult with teachers, families, and other school-employed mental health professionals (i.e., school counselors, school social workers) to improve support strategies, work with school administrators to improve school-wide practices and policies, and collaborate with community providers to coordinate needed services. They help schools successfully:
Improve Academic Achievement
Promote student motivation and engagement
Conduct psychological and academic assessments
Individualize instruction and interventions
Manage student and classroom behavior
Monitor student progress
Collect and interpret student and classroom data
Reduce inappropriate referrals to special education

Entry requirements for 加州州立大學洪堡分校
The applicant holds an acceptable bachelor's degree earned at an institution accredited by a regional accrediting association, or the applicant has completed equivalent academic preparation, and The applicant has satisfied any one of the following:
1. GPA of at least 2.5 in an acceptable earned bachelor's degree,
2. GPA of at least 2.75 in the last 60 semester units (90 quarter units) attempted,
3. The applicant holds an acceptable post baccalaureate degree earned at an institution accredited by a regional accrediting association,
The applicant was in good standing at the last institution of higher education attended.
IELTS: 6.5
TOEFL: 80 IBT, 550 PBT, 213 CBT
